Shaft Extension Length — The Critical Specification
Two lengths available. Must be specified at order — cannot be changed after manufacture. Measure before ordering.
Shaft extension length must be specified at order. Orders submitted without a specified shaft extension cannot be processed. Confirm the shaft extension required by your actuator or linkage before ordering. Measure the distance from the damper body to the actuator drive interface, account for the actuator housing depth and any mounting bracket, and specify the required length.

Why order this instead of a complete HAC-40 or HAC-50?
When the project requires an actuator that isn't in the standard Hoyme lineup. The HAC-40, HAC-44, HAC-43, HAC-34, and HAC-50/51 cover most applications. The no-motor body is for everything else — a specific Belimo model not in the lineup, a Siemens or Honeywell actuator required by the BAS spec, a pneumatic actuator, or a retrofit where an existing actuator is being reused.
Can I reuse an existing actuator on a new damper body?
Yes — this is one of the primary retrofit use cases. If the damper body is damaged or worn but the actuator is functioning correctly, order the no-motor body in the same duct size with the shaft extension length that matches the original actuator mounting. Remove the original actuator from the failed damper body, install it on the new body, and the installation is restored without replacing working hardware.
What if neither 2.50" nor 3.75" is the right shaft extension?
Contact Hoyme before ordering. Non-standard shaft extensions may be available as special orders. Do not order the closest available length and try to make it work — an incorrect shaft extension means the actuator drive interface either doesn't reach the shaft or extends too far past it, and neither produces reliable damper operation.
