Description
The HAC is a 24 Vac motorized inline damper for fresh air intake, make-up air, HRV/ERV duct control and zone control. Canada/USA CSA certified, spring return, in round duct sizes from 2" to 9". Installed on ventilation code compliance jobs across Canada and the US.
✓ Stall-protected motor: holds against ice and elevated static pressure without tripping or leaving the blade in an unknown position

✓ PO or PC action: confirm before ordering. The action can be converted in the field using the Hoyme conversion procedure, but getting it right at order saves a service call
✓ End switch: confirms blade position; required for proving ADP adaptors (TPX models) and gas dryer RADPs
✓ Relay: switched output when damper opens; use to trigger furnace fan or secondary device (not available on 2" and 3")
✓ Replacement parts available: motor kits, microswitch kits and spring return kits through your wholesaler; a motor failure does not mean a full damper replacement
Confirm PO vs. PC before ordering. The action is set at the factory. If it needs to change, the HAC can be converted in the field by removing the motor, reversing the spring plate and remounting the drive, following the Hoyme conversion procedure. PO (power open) is correct for the vast majority of fresh air intake and make-up air applications, because the duct seals when the system is off. PC (power close) is used only when the system design requires the damper to fail open on power loss.

Interlocking with the furnace fan? Use the ADP-0241-05A (24 Vac ventilation switch) or ADP-1101-05A (120 Vac exhaust fan switch) with an OPO or OPC variant; both open the damper and start the furnace fan together. Where an exhaust fan must wait until the damper proves open, use a TPX proving adaptor with the SPO or SPC variant. See the ADP series for the correct model for your application.
