The HAC-12H combines two features in one unit: the 120 Vac built-in transformer of the HAC-12 and the 10% heat bypass blade of the HAC-H. For one specific situation — hot air supply duct zone control on a 120 Vac site. Both conditions must be present to justify this product. If only one applies, one of the single-feature variants is the correct order. CSA certified. Sizes 4"–9".
Do not supply 24 Vac to a HAC-12H. The built-in transformer requires 120 Vac input. Supplying 24 Vac will result in product damage and will not operate the damper.
Do not install on fresh air intake, make-up air, or ventilation applications. The 10% bypass is permanent and cannot be disabled — outdoor air infiltrates continuously through the bypass whenever the damper is commanded closed.
Confirm PO vs. PC before ordering. The action is set at the factory. A field conversion procedure exists — it requires removing the motor, reversing the spring plate, and remounting the drive — but this is not practical once the unit is installed in a duct run. For most hot air zone control applications PO is correct. PC is used only when the zone must fail open on power loss; confirm with the system designer.

Need relay output or ADP furnace fan sequencing? The 120 Vac motor code does not include relay capability. For zone control applications requiring a relay output or furnace fan interlock, use the HAC-H (24 Vac) with the relay option and ADP relay adaptor.
