HCR — New Construction
Connects to two open rectangular duct ends inline. Standard duct opening required. Built to exact ordered dimensions.
HSI — Retrofit
Slips inside existing duct through a partial cut on one side only. Built 1/8" smaller than ordered dimension — order the interior duct dimension. 1" flange on one outside edge for attachment.

The HCR and HSI are custom-manufactured motorized dampers for square and rectangular duct systems. Every unit is built to the dimensions you specify — width, height, actuator, action, voltage, and steel gauge. Both run on Hoyme's proven spring-return drive in smaller sizes, with Belimo actuator options available for larger sizes and BAS/DDC applications. 24 Vac standard, 120 Vac available.

HSI ordering note: The HSI is built 1/8" smaller than the ordered dimension on each face. Order the interior duct dimension — the 1/8" undersize clearance is built into manufacturing. Do not order the HSI at the same dimension as the duct expecting it to fit — it will not.

Motor location cannot be changed after manufacture. If the installation location constrains motor clearance on the shortest side — a wall, another fitting, or a structural member — specify the alternate motor location at order. Motor mounts on the shortest side by default.

Can I return the HCR or HSI if I ordered the wrong dimensions?
No. The HCR and HSI are custom-manufactured to your specified dimensions and cannot be returned. Measure carefully, confirm the checklist completely, and verify all specifications against job drawings before submitting the order.
How much smaller is the HSI than what I order?
1/8" smaller on each face. A 12" × 8" HSI order produces a damper body that measures approximately 11¾" × 7¾". Order the interior duct dimension — the undersize clearance is built into manufacturing. The 1" flange on one outside edge is in addition to the damper body dimensions.
What's the lead time?
Lead time varies by model and production schedule. Contact the factory or your wholesaler for current lead time before committing to an installation schedule. Custom products cannot be expedited through standard stocking channels — plan lead time into the project schedule.
